Swedish Roots in Oregon Genealogy Sessions
Description
Join us for these online private one-on-one genealogy sessions! Each slot is an individualized session with two exports from Swedish Roots in Oregon (SRIO). Upon registering you will receive a form to fill out and email to Swedish Roots in Oregon so they can gather information before your session. Sessions will be one hour long via zoom. You will receive a zoom link two days prior to your session.
Swedish Roots in Oregon (SRIO) is an Oregon nonprofit Corporation formed in 1999 when Ross Fogelquist of Oregon’s New Sweden Cultural Heritage Society suggested that a project be initiated to research, document, and preserve the rich history of Oregon’s Swedish immigrants. Due to the extensive effort that would be required for such a project it was decided that a separate organization be formed to carry out the project. Their website is: https://www.swedishrootsinoregon.org and you can find their active presence on Facebook.
Two SRIO members are Ann Stuller and David Anderson who are experienced genealogists with over 50 years between them of practical experience in Swedish Genealogical Research. David has a certificate in genealogical research from Boston University and Ann has a knowledge of Swedish. Both have had genealogical articles published. Let us know what your genealogical questions are and they will conduct a thorough search from a wide variety of sources.
During the Zoom session they will present their findings, and suggest possible avenues for further research.
