Nisse Gnome Ornament Workshop

11/23/2024 09:00 AM - 11:00 AM PT

Description

Nisse go by many names from all of the Nordic countries including tomte, tonttu, and tufte. The story is a tale as old as time! Their name comes from the Old Norse word niðsi meaning “dear little relative,”. Tradition says that they live in houses, barns, and farms and act as quite the little guardians. In modern times you can find them all over the world as a representative of Christmas. You can always recognize them by their long beard, hat, and big nose.

You will use materials provided and multiple techniques to create these perfect ornaments. They make great gifts or keep them for yourself as your very own little guardian.
